| Description: |
Open play, you're welcome to sit in! When we say "old-time music" we're referring to acoustic mountain music of the southern Appalachian region. This music was played primarily for dancing. It can be thought of as a precursor to bluegrass. In its simplest form, it was played on the fiddle and banjo, but nowadays, usually includes guitar and often bass, mandolin and other instruments. |
